PercussionMedia - About

PercussionMedia was founded in 2006 by a group of Oklahoman percussionists to give percussionists worldwide a place to put their videos and music. PM currently streams hundreds thousands of videos and files on a daily basis.

PercussionMedia originally started out as DrumWiki, as both a wiki for percussionists and a video portal. The idea was that if there was a community encyclopedia for everything from recipes to Halo, there should be one for percussionists. Well, that idea didn't last very long. As it turns out, the need for a drum wiki wasn't all that great, and it wasn't too much fun doing all the work by ourselves (we're lazy). So died drumwiki, and PercussionMedia was born. PercussionMedia is now the largest (and only, I believe)
all-percussion media portal.

Although we feature all types of different percussion videos, we focus on professional DCI and WGI videos in the effort to increase public awareness of both the art of percussion and this great sport. If you have any videos you think will be of use to PercussionMedia, or even if you just want to upload your own private percussion video to share with friends, please feel free to do so.

One other thing we would like to mention is that we are completely non-profit. Any ads you see go directly towards paying for the server, and even then a lot of money comes out-of-pocket each month to keep the site running. Any company interested in sponsoring PM should visit the contact page for contact information.

Thanks for visiting!
